In physical practices, mindfulness involves tracking inner bodily sensations (breath, tension, alignment) during movement.
The story behind the word. Derived from Old English 'mind' combined with '-ful'. In the late 19th century, scholars selected 'mindfulness' to translate the Pali term 'Sati', a core concept in Buddhist meditation describing lucid present-moment awareness.
